We're often told that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  That every challenge starts somewhere and that it's okay that we start from painful, but humble beginnings.  I'd like to think that over time, those single steps I take to reach a goal, inconsequential as they be individually, would lead up to something great.  Journeys like that are long and hard, requiring plenty of perseverance and commitment, but they pay off so much in the end.  So even if it's getting hard and you can't see the end just quite yet, keep moving forward and life'll have its way of rewarding you.
